I fedelissimi aprono una sottoscrizione perché venga sepolto al Cimitero Monumentale di Milano. A loro spese comissionano un monumento funebre in bronzo con un’epigrafe che dice: “ Al pio sacerdote don Giuseppe Gervasini che prodigò carutà e scienza ai poveri e ai sofferenti. I beneficiari posero.” Inizialmente viene sepolto nel settore B, ma dopo 15 anni, visto il continuo afflusso di fedeli, si decide di trasferirlo in uno spazio più ampio nel settore 20, n° 93, allo stesso posto dove si trova oggi. Anche il monumento è lo stesso, cambia solo l’epigrafe che oggi dice:” Sacerdote don Giuseppe Gervasini 1867 / 1941 la fiumana dei tuoi beneficiari ti ricorda e ti ricorderà forever. "
